Food: The food was great! They have a surprisingly big vegan menu for not being a vegan restaurant. A stand out that we all saw was the ability to choose your protein choices for most of the entrees on their menu. The protein sources also have non soy options for those who are trying to avoid soy. On top of this, the veggie outers that had certain food allergies concerning gluten and other things were accommodated nicely when it came to food. None of us had any complaints in this category!

Atmosphere: Mariachi’s has a diner feel with an eccentric style interior decor. Depending on who you are, you’ll either like that or not care much for it. Overall we found it enjoyable. A highlight in this section is that the restaurant in a way is divided in two. One section has a series of tables that can hold 4 people. The other section has a series of tables that can seat 4 but can easily be put together for a big group if needed (Which is where we sat). We’ll elaborate more on this in the customer service section but this basic set up is worth mentioning here as a plus

Customer Service: As mentioned before, we had no problem sitting together due to the nature of how the restaurant is structured. What really stands out here is that we didn’t have to ask for more tables. As more of us started coming in, the staff automatically put more tables together for us so that more members could sit down. That made us feel very welcomed and is going above the status quote when comparing them to other restaurants. The staff and the owner were also VERY friendly. The only negatives here was there part of the dessert missing once one of us ordered it. The restaurant were able to address this matter but it did take a considerable amount of time. For more details on this, please see the customer service section of our video review. We also had our reservations about having to go up to the counter to place our orders as opposed to a server coming to take orders. We know that is a direction that some restaurants are going in but it can definitely deter some which is why we are mentioning it.

Price: Their prices are about the same as other vegan restaurants even though they aren’t a fully vegan restaurant. What stands out about them though is their MASSIVE portions. Many of us had to go boxes. Others were satisfied with what they got. With the portions being what they are, this is yet another highlight or Mariachi’s DIne in.

Overall our visit to Mariachi’s Dine In was a pleasurable one. Great food combined with good portions, good service and a friendly atmosphere makes us excited to recommend you give them a try and we’re looking forward to the next time we pay them a visit again!

Vegan Vibrationz Veggie Outers Review (Frisco)

Category: Vegan

Rating: 7.9

The Vegan Vibrationz (Pun Intended) of this meetup was the definition of a mixed bag. Ultimately a tasty food experience runs into a mediocre atmosphere one. It isn’t completely their fault though. Or is it? Continue further to find out! Not in the mood to read? Check out the video review below!

Food: Easily the best category here is the food. We were impressed by how the servings sizes were structured to make us full. Another highlight were the variety of protein sources for their menu. Most places just have impossible or beyond meat and call it a day but they proteins such as walnut meat for example. All in all they are solid when it comes to food

Atmosphere: Here is where it gets a little controversial. They are one of the restaurants inside of legacy hall. That means that they have all of the pros and cons of legacy hall. If you like the sports bar feel of the place, you’ll probably like the atmosphere here. If you don’t though, this can be an issue. Legacy Hall when we went (Which was on a Saturday) was loud, packed and hard to find seating. Many veggie outers took issue with these cons. The divisive part though is the fact that Vegan Vibrationz is not a dine in restaurant so are the cons their fault in this case? We’ll leave that decision up to you.

Customer Service: This is another category that has layers to it based on their situation. On one hand, our experience with the Vegan Vibrationz staff themselves were great! They were fairly timely and friendly. However, the table at which we sat at were very slow to get cleaned so we could get seated. That in itself isn’t their fault but since stuff like this subtract from the customer service experience in general, we felt there was a cap on how far they can really go in this category. For further elaboration on this, check out Elijah’s part in the video review where he discusses this in greater detail.

Price: They are kind of pricy but every place is at this point. One thing to note in particular here though is this depends a lot on what your get. Some entrees like the nachos are packed with food which balance out the high price. Others are a little underdeveloped for the price. Because of this, we’d recommend seeing a picture of what you’ll get so that your expectations can be in the right place. These are provided in the food section of the video review

Overall Vegan Vibrationz offers great food by very friendly and fast staff but the legacy hall experience can hold the restaurant back from reaching its full potential for some people.

Sankofa Kitchen Veggie Outers Review 2023 (Duncanville)

Category: Vegan Friendly

Rating: 8.9

Website: https://www.sankofakitchen.com/

We enjoyed ourselves at Sankofa Kitchen. Seeing as we have been here once before, the main thing that has changed is that their menu is bigger and they have moved to a different location. The new location is still in Duncanville though. For details about the restaurant, checkout our previous review here. You can see our video review for details on what food we got and what our individual ratings were.

Food: The food was pretty good. Since they are a vegan mexican restaurant, we can’t help but compare them to the other ones in the metroplex. El Polote and Casa Del Vegano in particular. While we agreed that they are indeed good, the other 2 restaurants mentioned do have a slight edge over them. That’s nothing to be ashamed of though as those other 2 are very good! Even still, many veggie outers agreed that even though the food is better at the 2 mentioned, the difference is very small though

Atmosphere: For this category, we do have to mentioned that it was the restaurant’s anniversary at the time we paid them a visit. Because of this, there were additional decorations in the building. This cause most of us to enjoy the atmosphere a lot! Even if those decorations are taken down though, the normal interior decor of the place is much better then most other restaurants

Customer Service: The staff is very friendly. Most likely one of the friendliest that we’ve encountered. We did have a few issue in this area though. As it stands, the restaurant does not have a website. We mentioned this before but restaurants nowadays should have a website. It’s an industry standard. They also have a reservation policy where they want you to call to make a reservation. There is nothing wrong with this on it’s own but when you combine this with not having a website, people won’t know you even have a policy and the steps you need to take to book a table. It’s seems rather unorthodix when comparing them to other restaurants. They also didn’t keep up with refilling any of the empty glasses on the table and we had to ask for things like napkins and silverware. These are areas that they could use some improvement on. If they do improve on these though, they would be perfect here since they are so friendly

Price: Thoughts here were mixed. Some thought their prices were a little too expensive. Others though they were about average. When comparing them to their vegan restaurant colleagues, they were a little above average. The portion sizes that we got for what we paid was still good though

Overall we recommend them for their tasty food and eccentric atmosphere. While the customer service could use some work in some areas, it wasn’t enough to break the experience
