Overall we enjoyed ourselves at Amsterdom falafelshop. The falafel offered was very tasty and had a uniqueness that we hadn’t experienced when eating falafel offered at other restaurants. We also agreed that they had a lot of vegan friendly seasonings and sauces that could be added to the falafel that were dairy free (That’s always a plus). The atmosphere was good. We also noticed the music in the background was a mix of genres, making for an engaging experience. At times it was a little loud but nothing that broke the overall experience. Customer service was the best we have seen at a restaurant yet. They were very accommodating both when we setup the reservation and during the actual meetup.  The staff was consistent on making sure we were taken care as a group and treated us with cutesy and respect. All these factors combined make them a strong candidate for revisiting! For more details, check out the video review above.

We all enjoyed both the appetizers and entrees we each individually ordered.  Orders ranged from veggie wraps and strips, to burgers. We were impressed by the quality of vegetables used in dishes such as the summer rolls. The vegetables tasted very fresh, which is always good as it shows they haven’t been lying around a while. The atmosphere was very quiet and soothing with calming music playing in the background. It is definitely a change of pace from what we’re used to, but it’s a change we favored. Customer service was pretty consistent all night long and our food wasn’t spaced out. Each of us got our entrees around the same time, and it didn’t take too long. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and defiantly will come back! For more details, check out the video review above.

Food: Food was outstanding! They allow you to build your own bowl from a variety of seasonings, rice, or meat substitute and vegetables. They cleaned the grill prior to the stir frying of our dishes so we could get a 100% Vegan bowl without any commingling with any animal products. We tried out the tofu and picked from the seasonings and sauces that were vegan. Needless to say we had a field day! Given that the quality of taste is directly related to a person’s seasoning skills, we got mixed results about the taste ranging from full 10s to 7s. For the most part, we all enjoyed the combinations that we individually came up with.

Customer service: The service wasn’t bad but it could have been better. The service we had did subtract from the experience. While he was accommodating in explaining the process of making your own bowl. Our table was left unattended a good while of the night and when we were served, he sometimes miscounted how many of us there were, not bringing enough for everyone at that time. That aside, the service was acceptable.

Atmosphere: Even though the restaurant was packed, we could still hear each other talk. It had a few TVs up on the walls, giving it a somewhat sports bar feel.  There wasn’t anything that particularly stood out but there was nothing wrong either.

Overall: We all enjoyed the fact that you more or less you could control how your tofu tasted via sauces and seasonings. The overall atmosphere reflects the style of the food and servings. The service could have been better overall. Will it remain on the menu for us to return? Yes, although most of us could agree that better service would be wanted.

Food: Everyone agreed that the food was awesome! Up until now, we saw trinity hall Irish pub to have the best substitute meats. Currently, that is no longer the case. Many of us thought that the substitutes made from the setain or Tofu was very good. Another thing that stood out were their cheese and dipping substitutes also were tasty. What was equally impressive was their menu’s variety of different foods (For Details, see the pictures below)

Customer service: While the overall service at our table was good, we did have an issue with the reservation we made. The reservation was made 3 days in advance but when we got there, there wasn’t a spot initially setup for us like at other restaurants. This caused us to have to wait about 25 minutes before we could get seated, adding on the amount of time we had to wait before getting our food. It wasn’t enough to break the experience but it was a inconvenience that should be mentioned and does impact the overall score.

Atmosphere: Given the location of the restaurant being across from the Trinity bridge, it was a very nice view. They have a patio which is where we sat. Music was also featured in the background. There was a good variety but for the most part, all the tracks played were mostly laid back.  You can hear it both inside and on the patio but it is louder inside. The lighting of the area and music played made for an overall nice atmosphere

Overall: we found being at V eats a rewarding experience. Unfortunately it did slip my mind to take a group photo but we did have a pretty engaging Q & A on Veganism this meetup (Check the live video in the timeline for details.) Their menu had a variety of entrees that we had not encountered before. We all enjoyed both our individual entrees as well as the appetizer (Pita Bread and chips) we got. All of us agree that the dips offered for the chips and bread in the appetizer were the best we’ve come across so far. The customer service staff was very friendly and helpful. We did have an issue with our reservation being lost at the scheduled time which does lower the overall score. That aside, I’m sure we’ll be paying them another visit.

Food: We all agreed that this is the best restaurant we've been to so far. They offers a separate Vegan menu including Hummus and bread, cheese fries, Mock chicken, Baked potato, wraps and sandwiches. What stood out most about the food is the alternative meats they had were very close to the real thing from a taste point of view. That combined with a good variety of food made for a very engaging experience.

Customer Service: We had the privilege of being served by a vegan which went a long way in providing great service. Even though the menu had the vegan options marked, he walked us threw all the vegan items on the menu and gave of individual suggestions based on our tastes and likes. He also made sure that our table was always attended to.

Atmosphere: It was very enjoyable. We had the choice of sitting inside or outside. We choose outside where we could hear the music but still hear each other talk. The temperature was just right, making it  very soothing. It should be mentioned though if it is too hot or cold, inside may be a better choice.

Overall: The food and service which were both excellent. We all agreed the atmosphere was refreshing since we we're outside. One thing that was big plus was having a waiter who's vegan. He was very accommodating in helping all of us order since he himself had tried most of the Vegan options (Which was a big help since they had so many!) At this point, it probably goes without saying but they'll be a strong candidate to go back to in the future.
